I'd like to think if they would have left the old Gimbels standing, it would have been converted to mixed use or maybe more Jefferson offices by now. Really sad outcome that we've been stuck with this lot for 40 years (?).

I know it's only one view and all that, but sad to see anything obscure the Drake. Gorgeous building. Still very happy to see this jawn finally getting off the ground. It's been too long a wait.

It wouldn't obscure the Drake from this angle. The Drake is between 15th and 16th. This building is obviously on Broad, so viewed from the West the Drake would be the king here.

Yeah it's been disappointing that despite ownership being secured and a booming economy for the last several years - NOTHING has been proposed since the death of the casino concept.

Are they waiting to see how the Fashion District fairs?

Wait, this actually will not obscure the Drake, seeing as its on the other side of Broad. This rendering is incorrect.

Not that I could do better, but FMC and EVO are missing as well.

Re: FDP

Coworking operator takes 47,000 square feet at Fashion District

This is very encouraging to the overall success of FDP. And, FWIW, I think Candytopia will be staying for a while (as it was mentioned the business was a pop-up temp thing) because I hear it is wildly popular.
