Part of the plaza under the arch on the Georgia Street side was roped off today. I wonder if there might be big slabs of slush sliding off the edge of the canopy directly onto the the sidewalk below. Or maybe the glass is too slippery to be walked on. BTW, those herring bone pavers can be really slick. I almost went down a couple of times while getting these pics.

I remember on year there were big icicles hanging off the gutterless awning.

They must also be short on stantions - they removed the ones surrounding the long-broken glass panel (assuming it is still broken).

i don't understand how we are still building places with a floor covering that is slippery when wet; we live in a rain forest for christ's sake.

Westbank. They like building things for the discerning customer remember, the discerning customer doesn't walk like a peon.

There's currently an exclusive listing for a combo PH unit for sale right now for 15m that's not on mls

Quite an amount to ask considering the number of PH units in the building and on the floor and considering the other units sell for around 4m, 8m is quite a premium to ask for the renovation

That's the NW corner penthouse where they removed the original window wall and replaced it with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors and added the rooftop pavilion.
Thought I heard it was Entwhistle's suite.
It looks very ordinary in terms of the wood and finishes.

Yeah, that is a very custom built Telus Garden penthouse. Other PH units pop-up on rental market every now and then and this is something completely else. This might be the only unit in the building that is actually high-end build quality. All other units sound like they have very low-end finishes, although I have to admit that I haven't been to see any units in the building myself.

not a fan of the layout. for $3800sq/ft. too many floors and not enough floor space. 3900sq/ft should be on a max of 2 floors for something being overpriced.

For the first time today (that I can remember) I watched a window cleaner make his way down the Telus office tower. Having to perch on the edge of the awnings and do the window cleaning with an extra long squeegee pole. I can't imagine the strength it takes to clean windows all day with such a long pole. Talk about labour intensive. I presume (and I hope) they make good money.

Hold on, why is it still up? What construction *still* needs to be done on this building that requires a crane?

I saw the crane hoisting up large pipe segments last week.
Probably to do with the cooling infrastructure inside the building.
