Thanks for the support guys!

Clevelumbus: I'll most likely be adding a memorial plaza in front of the city hall, thanks for the ideas

Aleks: I'm slowly working on it more and more. There are many parts you guys haven't seen yet but I frown upon showing any detail less than 75%. There could be an update in the next 2 weeks though......

Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Update: I've been extremely busy my last semester in college...so it was hard to get any updates. sorry guys!

I'll going to start doing some more work on the city though.

Here's a landscape view of the city to keep some interest out there

Hey it's great to see such advance, this is becoming one of my favorite cities!!!

I love the ground level work, the angled steps on the plaza that connects Total Care with that TV building. I also love that last horizontal shot which reminds me of some of my own work on Mulligan.

Keep it up! it's more important than college.

Here's a view of my just-finished building: The Conrad. It's an upscale hotel. You can see the park in the middle of the picture, with the budweiser plant on the right (with pipes --> more to come with those)

vertical x: i'm glad you like! trust me, there is so much more going on than i can show you guys. like i said once, i only like to show portions about 75% done...

the ground level work is the hardest too!

I'm graduating tomorrow!

Nice city, realistic, and good to see someone else building on this quiet forum. Ground level work is time consuming, but worthwhile.

If this were a real city, I'd be taking a room in the Conrad right away.

Nice work!

As would I Flamesrule, as would I.

Here's a view from across the river on the ridge of the mountain:

I need some help placing 1 - 3 new buildings. they are about half the height of my all glass building (tallest) and about 2/3 the width. Early 1900's (1910-1930) era. Any suggestions with respect to this picture for placement? or how many?

Nice view, good massing and planning. What's that low building far left, looks like a museum/concert hall?

nice shots! good work with the piping of industrial facilities, and art deco first floors of "New building near the baseball field"

However University building on the west side deserves special mention!! real real good job, would love to see more shots of this beautiful brutalistic building. (can't say the same for that post modern convention center! too random)

congrats on graduating!

Thanks Vert X! The university building was fun. I'm glad there's still someone else out there that appreciates brutalist structures I hope you appreciate the other picture I have of it down below.

Thanks Flamesrule! I have another update today as well.

Monaca general hospital is located up on the hill beyond the highway. Here's its oldest building (built 1898):

The building located behind it is the tower, which was built in 1925. It's still an integral part of the hospital complex, although not the center of attention anymore.

Moving on the east side of the town, north of the baseball field area, is the "east college" campus. Much more to come around here and it will have more of a suburban feel with more green space than the "downtown" campus. The buildings are not completed (obviously) but I wanted to show you the promenade.

Vert X's favorite brutalist structure, the university building:

Here's another view of the university building with the library in front of it. The library has an awesome "large" feel to it. It's mostly completed, just small ornamentation to add.

An addition to the downtown liveliness in the market square is the rotunda. It's connected to a building and serves as open space and an ornate entrance.

Last but certainly not least, is the birds-eye view of the rotunda showing the fountain in market square as well as the fountain down by the river.

That university looks great, is it inspired by any real building? Or just your own interpretation of that era/style?

Hahaha I hate admitting that I steal some ideas from real buildings but this building is real. It's Benedum Hall (engineering building) at the University of Pittsburgh. I had a calculus class on the 4th floor.

The realism in Monaca is impeccable! I really appreciate the fact that you have many civic buildings and not just skyscrapers, I've been trying to do that with Staunton forever now. This city really reminds me of Pittsburgh, one of my favorites, keep up the great work!

Haha, I really how the Neoclassical Library plays with my favorite Brutalist building, Brutus' University. Both have steps, both are used as sitting areas, but only one has been designed fort that specific double purpose!

Fantastic last shot, the fountain "suggesting" the river is actually in very good taste. Will look good juxtaposed with some other towers surrounding the park.
