Wow - is that a rendering or the real thing?!
Everything from the building awning down looks so real - with concrete stains, lights in the trees leaves and all!

It's a rendering.

Here is a rendering I threw together this morning. Looks almost the same.

Starting to stand out.

I don't know the name or address of the curved glass office building next door to 1382 Peachtree, but it amazes me how good that building still looks. It quietly "steals the show" in every photograph of the area and it seems to get better with age - or that may be a testament to its simple sleek design or the lack of favorable designs in the area. Some of the newer designs in the area just seem a little visually disjointed - as if there were "too many Chefs in the kitchen" so-to-speak during their design stages.

.

It's called Midtown Plaza, and there are actually 2 of them - one slightly taller than the other. They went up in the early 90's, and I agree with you, they have aged incredibly well.

Wow, really adding some height to the north end of Midtown! Now we just need the Pershing Point tower across the street... but I think that's a Dewberry site.

That one street rendering is giving me old Georgia Dome vibes. I really hope the finished product doesn't look like they salvaged Georgia Dome mauve & teal panels from its destruction. Otherwise this is a great project and a little color is great... just hoping it doesn't look dated from day one.

That's the hot color scheme now. The 80s look is in.

(I'm not a fan either)

Hotel is a goner. Wish there was a way to improve/widen 17th St.

Dewberry across 17th Street. Kinda looks like a country pasture.

Looks great - being on more skinny, taller towers that don't waste the lot they are on

That vacant Dewberry lot is such a waste. I'll remain hopeful that he'll sell it and the huge lot on 10th street one of these years.
