Auckland Street Life

Auckland, New Zealand, is located 2/3rds the way up North Island with a deceptively small population of 1.4 million people. Take a walk with me through the streets as we enjoy the passing parade.

This is Auckland

It makes me think a little bit about Seattle. Auckland is definitely on my to-do list.

Nicely done!

Nice stuff!

Grit is not really your thing, is it?! There's plenty of that in Auckland.

Your world seems to be all Maserati, Ferrari, Hugo Boss, Vanilla Soybean Chai Vegan Mocha Latte.

You know, I thought the same thing! It must be the polished, sanitized look/feel; huge outdoor culture; and, of course, compared to regional cities, the relative ethnic homogeneity. The Needle-like tower was the icing on the cake!

Nice photos!

Thanks Arseniq33. You are certainly not the first to mention that. It comes up quite often.

Hey Jens! You'll have to hop the ditch and come pay us a visit and I will shout you to a Vanilla Soybean Chai Vegan Mocha Latte. Sure there is grit and grime in every city but judging by our last visit to Sydney the difference would be that in Sydney it is easier to 'stumble' across.

Thank you Kingofthehill. As I stated above I have heard the same comment from many people.
