COTA wants to but if the quality is at the same level as their "soccer stadium" then I think you're really looking at a glorified carnival. The fact Epstein threw in a "six flags" comparison though does make you hope it could be something more.

Work on the interior build out of 701 Rio Grande is finally happening. Unsure if this is still the case but sounds like the entire building is leased to a tech company. I haven't seen a sign go up yet.

To be fair, They did purchase rides from some of the leading amusement park ride manufacturers. I think it has the potential but as of right now their management is a mess.

Google looks to sublease a ton of space in its hometown, prompting many to worry about Austin skyline

After pausing plans for a huge campus in downtown San Jose, California, earlier this year, Google LLC is now seeking to offload 1.4 million square feet in Silicon Valley.

It is not yet known if the tech giant will ditch any of its Austin property. Real estate experts point out Google is flush with office space here — most of it empty. That's because construction crews are putting the finishing touches on Google's new "sail tower" downtown. The internet giant said prior to the pandemic that it would consume all of the office space in the 35-story tower — almost 800,000 square feet — sometime this year. Of course, times have changed for such tech giants.

Even more Meta real estate hits sublease market

Meta placed 589,000 square feet of office space in the under-construction Sixth and Guadalupe tower on the sublease market in November, and a company spokesperson confirmed the tech titan is now behind a nearly 120,000-square-foot sublease in the 300 West Sixth tower as Meta plans to focus on remote work. The company employed about 2,000 people here last summer but has laid off hundreds of employees since fall 2022.

Williamson County opens office in South Korea to court Samsung suppliers

The Williamson County Economic Development Partnership announced July 25 it has opened an office in South Korea as it continues to court companies from the Asian country.

The group advocating for businesses in the region north of Austin wants to capitalize on interest from suppliers of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. as the company continues to build a multibillion-dollar chipmaking factory in Taylor.

Hill Country Studios secures zoning, annexation approvals to keep massive project on schedule

Hill Country Group LLC on Aug. 1 received a second and final approval from San Marcos City Council to annex and zone pieces of what's earmarked to be the $267 million Hill Country Studios project on 209 acres at 6202 W. Centerpoint Road, in the La Cima master-planned community.

It’s a rather fact free hit piece. It admits not knowing how much water Tesla is actually using, and of that how much is recycled.
The very first sentence is wrong. TC didn’t give Tesla any land

That said, Elon did say on record that he would create an ecological paradise along the river... So where's the ecological paradise? I feel like we got swindled and regardless of what the article in the Chronicle says, I don't trust him, or his companies activities in Travis or Bastrop Counties. They don't seem to be the best neighbors.
