That DA permit is not for the corner of 3rd & Congress. It's for the building next to the parking lot at the corner.

Pretty sure that's for the Austin Transit Partnership office going in that building.

I was at an event downtown presenting my models and got into a conversation with a couple of guys that work for the company that now owns this plot and is working on developing it.

They told me a ballpark figure of 1,100 ft.

We may see a day when Austin has the tallest building outside of NYC or Chicago. Crazy!

I was yelled at for even mentioning this on another thread but as I said, another possible supertall besides what was proposed by Wilson... Just because there is nothing going on with city permits does not mean that there is nothing in the works behind the scenes...

Still.. not expecting to hear anything soon but exciting about the possibility..

I've also heard this mentioned, but no details or timeline yet. It's a group out of NY spearheading the project.
