A few pictures from yesterday's hike.

We started in Pouch Cove (pronounced Pooch), which is the northeast edge of the St. John's CMA.

The Sask. pics are great, I wouldn't even guess it was Saskatchewan, but maybe I should have.

@SHH, at first I mistook your old post for a current one, and I was like, global warming is much faster than I expected.

I thought this was interesting. I like the illustration of men in 1830's attire doing some kind of work in the field. It really looks like a different world.

As you drive to the Annapolis Valley what a delight to come over the crest and see Blomidon in the distance, with the bay and agricultural lands in between. A British visitor, Captain William Moorsom, called this “the finest view in Nova Scotia” in his 1830 guide to the province. He produced an illustration to prove his point.

The modern view:

A related article (mainly about a 1700's house that was a landmark around there getting randomly demolished): https://halifaxbloggers.ca/noticedin...e-of-the-road/

I also liked this one. St. Mary's River, around the Eastern Shore of NS. I did not know the scenery there looked like this:

That is the best Saskatchewan set ever posted on this forum... maybe ever on the entire internet. Absolutely stunning. Good job Echoes.

Agreed.

Sask's landscape gives off an "ancient land" vibe in those photos.

Yep, that’s the best Sask set I’ve anywhere. Oozes Martian landscape and Australian outback vibes. Also very lush, swampy looking NS river, very nice. Watch out for the alligators!

Wow Saskatchewan! Agreed with all, definitely the best set ever seen of it. I love the train shot at night, I see those rail cars here in Van all the time, but that photo is something else
