The floor they are setting up does form a cantilever, I was modeling it and using reference from The Laurel Rittenhouse Instagram and their models showed a cantilever.

nice shot. That's a good angle to see how this new, modern building fits in with a variety of different style buildings. Also a reminder that that parking lot needs to go, and soon. Let the City tax it out of existence.

In the boom since the end of the Great Recession, Philadelphia's skyline has really elevated itself, literally and figuratively, to a physical stature and imposing appearance worthy of one of America's great cities.

I completely agree; since the Great Recession Philadelphia has been on fire. As a matter of fact I'll add some perspective to it that goes back a bit further.

In just 30 years the Philadelphia skyline has grown so much and you can really appreciate it; its dramatic. If you built a tower that was 300' to 400' before 1990 and certainly 500' you were talking about a building that was ground breaking for Philadelphia. For example I remember sitting at the Belmont Plateau and seeing them build the first tower at Commerce Square and drawling it; us skyscraper loves didn't have computers then unless you worked in an architecture firm and that building stood out remarkably at over 560'; now well it depends on where you are in the city; you may see it but you may not.

Thy skyline has grown up so dramatically now that Philadelphia is now one of the few American cities where you can build a building close to 40 stories and its no longer a unique event.

I love it; I love seeign this city rise to the occasion and I hope we get way more buildings between 400'-1100'

Ah so its official Equinox is making their Philadelphia debut.

Does anyone know how the sales are going for these units?
I know the suburban market is hot, wondering how the city market is doing, especially on the upper end of price (like The Laurel and Arthaus).

Wow I haven't opened this thread in a while. I am pleasantly surprised at the progress here, to say the least. This will have an enormous street-level impact on the area.
