It is called planned development and it will be urban dense one day in the future. just a few years ago it was bay....saw an interesting map last year showing the streets in the bay.....showing where the new subway stations will be. Little late here, but Korea posts are done enough and they don't get bumped up often enough.

2.319 sq miles will have (an area 1.52 mile x 1.52 mile):

80,000 apartments
300,000 will work there
50 million square feet of office space
10 million square feet of retail.

From sea water to urban dense city....something we are not seeing happen here in the states. Check out this webpage....it has a photo of the map I was talking about.

4 buildings, really? i don't care about urban development. it'll take at least 50 years for it to become a quarter of new york-type density.

^and it'll probably take you 50+ years to see that not every city wants or is trying to be New York.

they don't have to be.... nyc was just a reference to density...

i just would've thought it was common sense that you build more than 4 highrises surrounded by tents and shit huts before building a 1000 foot supertall.

Tents and shit huts? You probably should go back and read the forum rules on trolling. . . don't want to have to spend my time cleaning up your dreck on these threads. . . thanks for listening. . .
