El Rey Court | Santa Fe, New Mexico

El Rey Court

El Rey Court is an iconic roadside adobe-style compound located just off of historic Route 66 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. One of the areas most famous hotels, El Rey Court was once a genuine slice of vintage New Mexico that’s now an eclectic boutique property oozing with coolness.

QUINTESSENTIALLY NM: ARCHITECTURE

New Mexico’s most plentiful building material defines our unique architecture—past and present—thanks in part to the “patron saint of adobe.”

Ranchos de Taos ‘Historic community’ designation sought

Ranchos de Taos is taking the first steps to have the area designated as a Traditional Historic Community. Much like El Prado’s efforts last year – which paid off in January – Ranchos de Taos and the surrounding neighborhoods hope the push for a Traditional Historic Community (THC) designation will help to protect and preserve the culture of the area and prevent them from being annexed into the town.

Leaning Into the High-Desert Charm of Santa Fe

Artists and adventurers, snowbirds, shoppers, and spiritualists—they are all drawn to mystical Santa Fe, a high-desert town of about 85,000 in northern New Mexico. They’re magnetized by the impossibly blue skies and bathtub-warm temps, the rust-colored adobe facades and chili ristras hung from door jambs.

Santa Fe residents weigh in on Zia Station development

The development in its current state would require a handful of code changes, including rezoning the area as residential and commercial. It would also require the city to amend the Southwest Corridor Highway, which requires buildings in the area to be a maximum of two stories tall.
