Exclamation How do you transfer a mod into SC4?

How do you transfer a mod (in this case the $25 million) one into the CD? I've spent the last 2 hours trying to figure it out, and I'm ready to throw my laptop out the window. I got the mod from simtropolis.

I've gotten as far as getting the mod into the 'plugin' folder of the game, but my computer isn't allowing the mod to be written into the CD. Need some help guys.

If possible, a step by step process would be appreciated. Thanks.

Plugins only have to be in the plugins folder. If installation of the mod requires more than that, than usually the mod itself contains instructions on how to install.

Not only is it not necessary, it is also technically impossible to add anything to the game's CD, if that is what you are trying to do.

Then how do you load the mod from simtropolis into the game if you cannot load it on the disk?

Usually it is a zip file, and just unzip it to a new folder and see what the contents of the folder are. Most likely there will be a ReadMe file with detailed instructions for you. You really should look for it. I can't provide you with specifics myself since I don't have that mod and I have only downloaded one mod myself, the NAM.

My guess is that, if the mod does not have an install program (an .exe file, you should look for that too), then you have manually move the contents of the folder or the folder itself. Whatever the case, the end result is that files will be in the Plugins folder.

The Simoleon, or something like that. Give large starting amounts.

I still can't get it to work. It's not allowing it in the Plugins folder for some reason. How do you do it manually?
