Quite sure St Regis Chicago (previously Vista) was taller. The second column is 857.' There's a LOT of buildings with window/cladding delays since the pandemic. Was some sort of manufacturing problem with the windows or something with Vista.

This is what came to mind for me, though It’s highly unlikely we’ll get to this extreme.

One thing 270 Park has going for it in this case is that up to this point, it’s hidden. Moving forward, it won’t be.

Wow I had no idea this was 'constructed' in 1992. Construction was resumed and now they've added glass. It's actually rather impressive, for a hunk of concrete that really serves no habitable function.

^ That building looks better completed, but still weird.

Now, following the cranes, we begin to see the building make it's debut on the skyline....

Come Spring, it'll be seen by all angles across NY and across the Hudson in NJ! To think in an alternate reality, 53W53 in those shots NYguy posted would've been 1200'+

Yeah, it's all fun and games from here on out.

Another cam view (ESB), looks like the cranes reach about 850 ft. When 175 Park joins the party, it will be a treat to watch it rise.

One Vanderbilt is the tallest building seen in this picture and even that building will likely be dwarfed by 270 Park Avenue. Shows you that there should have been a public observation deck included at 270 Park Avenue like at One Vanderbilt.

No it doesn’t. Please find a new song.

Thanks guys!
On the topic of observation decks, here's another view of 270 from the Summit when completed (photo courtesy of NYGuy):

It may be big, but it only enhances the view from 1 Vanderbilt!

Always love these, and I agree. Thanks!

I know it's the eve before Christmas Eve, but I did one last year, so here's another...

A Visit to 270

Twas the night before Christmas
Park Avenue, Midtown
A large skyscraper was rising.
But no glass could be found.

They had shown us the renderings
(After repeated delay).
But just how it would turn out,
At this point, who could say?

The City was accustomed
To watching skyscrapers rise.
And this one was promised
To be Dimon's big prize.

Slated to rise
Nearly 14 hundred feet,
You could see it was massive,
Looking up from the street.

But size alone
Would not make it great.
Some began to wonder
Why the cladding was late.

Would the building top out
Before getting its dressing?
With no info forthcoming,
We were left to just guessing.

In the meantime we wait,
With our holiday cheer.
All to be revealed
In the coming new year.

And when this tower is finished,
It should be a great sight.
So Merry Christmas to all.
(And to all, a good night)

I suppose I'll make a rap:

I rise on

I rise on

I rise on

I rise for my city, rise-on for my city
I rise for my city, rise-on for my city
I rise for my city, rise-on for my city
I rise for my city, rise-on for my city

When they see me on the NJ Turnpike, they say "towers on some other level"

Send them fake ass towers runnin' straight back to the drawing board

Me, I'm in my pedestal, that's right, I work for Jamie Dimon

This facade is not a fraud, call that shining on them other towers

Wear a lot of Foster and Partners, 270 Park don't do Gene Kaufman

If you want it, come and see it, you know I stay super tall

NY Got 99 problems but 25 supertalls ain't one

Shining on these towers, we retain our epitome

Now I go back to steel and beams, I rise on while others sleep

I rise for my city, rise-on for my city
I rise for my city, rise-on for my city
I rise for my city, rise-on for my city
