Yeah, it was purple, violet? Sounds like it can change colors.

There were plant salvage and water flow test permits pulled a couple months ago. Also, the grass has not been watered since at least November and is nearly dead. I would think it would have broke ground by now, but I have a feeling covid may have delayed it some.

^^^

Edit: Coming off the I-10 West ramp to 7th St the other night, I noticed that the lights on top of APS makes it look much taller than it is. Nice illusion!

Imagine in 20 years when all those empty, low density lots are filled with highrises and skyscrapers

Psh. I give it 10 years as soon as we start recovering from Covid.

I love this pic. Reminds of flying in to see family which I haven't been able to do in a wile.

Just two more I forgot to post. The hotel has been slow going as well, but it's getting there.

I thought I posted this, but I don't see it. They have started re-growing the grass where Palm Court Tower is supposed to go about 2 weeks ago. It's been getting very green over the last week and I saw the sprinklers on full blast over the weekend.

Since the grass was being allowed to die-out over the last 7 months, I can't help but wonder if the tower is dead or on hold till the epidemic is over?

Growing Grass is not particularly expensive in the scheme of things, its just as likely that the tenants of AZ center complained about the grass being left to die and so the owners are keeping the sprinklers on until construction actually begins.

Did we figure out if this is NADG or Will Bruder? The application has NADG all over it, but the latest site plans shows Will Bruder

That's the foundation permit, that's great news! You know its significant when the permit cost is $103K. Also, the fireline and street light permit.

The previous 3 were just bonds for civil work in the right-of-way.

Does this foundation permit means they are getting ready to break ground?

I walked through the Arizona Center for the first time in a while today. Construction on the AC hotel is proceeding nicely, but otherwise it was pretty bleak. In terms of restaurants, 1130 and Coyote Cafe are both temporarily closed. Mi Amigos has gone out of business completely. Starbucks is nominally open but had closed by the time I walked through at 2:30 PM. The one hopeful sign is that the Fooda pop-up, which brings different restaurants on site on various days of the week, is resuming operations Monday, September 21. I'll appreciate that since I've returned to working at my office after several months of telecommuting exile. Overall, this pandemic is coming on the heels of a renovation that made the place look better but didn't attract major new tenants. I hope things get better once the hotel opens.
