I'm sure there are plenty like me here on the West Coast having a chuckle at your "earthquake".
We're here, whistling in dark, waiting for the "big one", the megathrust monster on the Cascadia Subduction Zone. Historically, they take place every 300-600 years, and can be up to 9.0 in magnitude. The last one took place in 1700, so we're now "in the window" for the next one. When it hits, there will be several coastal communities wiped off the face of the earth, and it will cause huge damage in the cities, depending where along the CSZ it takes place.
The last significant one around here was the 2001 Nisqually 6.8, which, even though the epicentre was 225km away, we certainly felt up here.
