I got in there at 1:30, and most of the units were sold out. Lucky they had one left, if the layout I wanted

Phase 1 & 2 are now both sold out.

Here's a new phase 3 rendering, with phase 2 & 1 in the background...

This development looks like an immaculately maintained 60's apartment complex ahaha. I'm anxious to see what materials are planned for the exterior cladding.

Lets be thankful that the 70's was not the chosen decade to replicate!

please, can't the city ban all beige/brown stucco or pre-fab buildings??? So many amazing colours and designs out there, and this is what Lintack Architects consistently comes back too...the windows are great, balconies great...but that colour. Will look so gross in the winter and on overcast days like Vranich's towers at Main/Bay. No wonder Vancouver mandated certain colours of glass and building design for decades....

I agree ^. This is pretty average work from Lintack. I think using brick to reference the neighbourhood/ brickmaking factory just to the east, as well as wood accents to connect it to the escarpment would have gone miles further than the tan stucco (or precast or whatever it ends up being).

I like the massing though, and the windows look good.

I'm curious as to what type of construction will be employed for these three buildings.

Will it be structural steel and poured concrete floors; prefabricated concrete floor and wall panels; reinforced concrete walls and floors; or will it be wood-frame throughout, now that that's allowed for 6-storey buildings in Ontario? (These are 5 and 6 storey, IIRC)

My money is on all precast panels, ala 220 Cannon St. E., or wood-frame for these especially considering how tight the site is and the staging challenges presented by that. Unless they're planning to close Charlton Street for the duration...

I find it amazing that the building method isn't specified to buyers, unless that is available to registered potential purchasers. If the construction method were known it would be easier to guess what the final exterior finishes might be, since the architect isn't really showing much here.

People seem to be comfortable making such a large purchase while knowing few details of what they are buying. For all we know they could be planning straw bale construction, or an earth house made of used tires, lol.

I got probably around 180 pages with my purchase agreement.. Lots of info about my suite and the finishes inside it, but not much about the exterior
