Hope city administration show some decency and stop copying and pasting cookie-cutter nada-design esthetics-free cheaply-built blue glass buildings like those overflowing in Toronto Vancouver Austin,...I even hate Renaissance Center now even though it stays away from downtown core yet brought less renaissance to the city since then but being an eyesore to the classic skyline scene.

That was taken at Redbud Valley. And no it's not a Cottonmouth, it's just a stick. There's no way I would want to be that close to a Cottonmouth, at least without a hoe or something to defend myself.

Ha sure fooled me, it definitely looks like a gaping Cottonmouth! You could probably find one at Redbud Valley too. Was this near Bird Creek or somewhere else? That is a cool park, lots of stone bluffs and small caves to explore.

I believe that picture was taken near the large pond on the map on this page.

It's been awhile since I posted any pics to this thread, so I thought it was high time to add a few more random pics from the past few years. All photos are mine, except for the two from Mike Simons (a Tulsa World reporter whose images have his name on them). I hope you all enjoy!

That monument is located in John Hope Franklin Reconciliation Park, which is in the Greenwood District.

There is about a block of buildings along either side of Greenwood Avenue from Archer St. to the I-244 bridge that remains. This was all rebuilt after the 1921 incident. There is also the Vernon AME Church just north of I-244 and then there is Mt. Zion Baptist on N. Elgin Ave. a couple of blocks west. The rest was pretty much destroyed by urban renewal or the ravages of time.
