I did a few random searches just for fun for November/December and cheapest I saw was $675. I even looked on a weekend night (Dec. 7) which is obviously more for leisure travelers and....$675. Someone told me that they aren't going to fluctuate the prices too much to try and get people in the doors - if you want to stay here...this is the price, period.

It's $540 for a premier cityscape room in mid-October. https://reservations.fourseasons.com...charset_=UTF-8 We got my parents a Four Seasons gift certificate that they've been waiting to use. Looks like it won't go all that far...

Do the top floor bar, Vernick Fish, and Jean-George restaurant open mid-August like the hotel at large?

Yes. I asked one of the Four Seasons folks handing out those free umbrellas yesterday that very question -- and he said, Yes -- everything is open on August 12.

Meanwhile... here are a few more shots:

^Anyone know who owns the massive block size lot wedged between the Library and the Granary? It has to be among the largest undeveloped parcels in Center City, no?

Oddly, atlas shows it owned by the City as part of the same 1901 Vine St parcel as the library, even though Wood St separates it from the Free Library. Wasn't that lot part of the Library's former expansion plan?

Yes, i think you're right. I'm pretty sure the expansion plans were scrapped for the interior renovations. I love how our city just squats on at least $10mm worth of high-value real estate (not to mention the ancillary tax boon they receive post development). It's such a big plot that it really shapes the feel of that area.

Possible teal crane sighting - unless there is more than one, a teal crane has arrived this week at the Navy Yard, 400 Rouse Bvd site of the 4th Wuxi App Tec building.

Is that for the new low-rise project for Iovance Biotherapeautics or another project?

Another. This is for Wuxi App Tec at 400 Rouse Blvd, who already have 3 buildings on the Navy Yard campus. The site prep and utility installation work has been underway for 2 or 3 months now.

Here's the CDR from last fall:

I Don't Get It?

I know I'm off the subject but from what I understand, Philly has the most public pools per capita of any city in the country, but they are swimming in a unfiltered public fountain? It's always been illegal from what I understand, but the citizens are insistent on putting their small children in the fountain. I've seen many a small child splashing around in that fountain, with swollen diapers full of water. Which is safe to assume the kids are not quite potty trained. I am sure you can fill in the blanks on what will happen next.

I don't know whether they still do, but I know the City used to put chlorine or chloramine in that fountain.
