The first shot is much more interesting, partly because it has a greater variety of colors (as well as more gaudy signage), while the second shot is mostly shades of brown and grey.

Montreal had a mid-century clutter that it doesn't have anymore. It's true of all cities, but somehow especially true of Mtl.
