Manhattan with San Diego's weather and Washington state's mountains and climate close by.

I'm a sports guy, so add some land and/or put some giant sports stadiums in or near the municipal limits. A top 25 college sports team wouldn't hurt.

My ideal city is one packed with street life and energy. Without the energy, a city is nothing. You could have skyscrapers or high rises for miles, but if it lacks energy, its a shell of a city.

On a side note, the rumor has it that Michigan cities are ideal because the trees are the right height. At least from a nature standpoint.
