Daaammmnnnn! I didn't even notice the skyline because I was looking at the inside! Great interior shot. A little more time in the oven would've helped but it's amazing as it is.

Hey Duffstuff can i ask what lights you are using because i can't get anything to look light your street lights and also having trouble finding a good light for lighting an interior to be viewed from outside like in your building pic. Also trying to put lights in a car but thats just f#!@'d !!

I use pointlights. Just snap it on to wherever the light should come from and then put the second endpoint where you want the light to be. The second endpoint usually snaps to faces, which is nice. I also, make sure you use Thin Glass materials (in the Kerkythea material editor, right click on Matte/phong, the default and a list will pop up).

And for anyone who's wondering, the picture Aleks quoted used Metropolis Light Transport, did 60 passes, and took about 6 hours.

You'd be surprised to find out, but this is what most Art Deco towers look like, the tower itself is just propped up on a big, wide base to make up for the tiny floors and because such towers are hidden in jungles of other buildings, all you see is the tower part.

If this does go into SSP-R, the above and the fact that it is so incredibly thin will probably make it appear much less tall.

But it ended up at 965 feet, so I may have gone over the limit after going over the limit. Sorry Mo!

Then I think I got the massing just right.

I probably spent 75% of my time on this project finding the correct massing for this tower so that it would appear huge. And if I may say so myself, the parti is beautiful.

I change some stuff. Added mullions between the windows and changed the main facade to white for reasons that I am far too lazy to explain but it boils down to contrast.

I'm about to start a new project. Mostly ideas right now but I have an idea.

Three towers in a plaza. Lowrises, under 400 feet, gradually stepping down in height. There are pools in front, flanked on each side by lights. I'll work on turning this into a nice, crisp model soon.

I can only hope that you all can see as much potential in this sketch as I do.
