More Minneapolis, and a little St. Paul

Edit...oops, I meant to post this in A-M...but it has St. Paul too, so I guess N-Z is okay

All of these pictures were taken this weekend (10/29-30). It was gorgeous and sunny on Saturday...not so nice on Sunday. I got out once more to catch some of the fall color, along with some beautiful residential areas of the city.

The first pictures are taken around Lake of the Isles, and the Kenwood neighborhood of Minneapolis.

Yes, this is one house...I believe it was built by one of the Pohlad family(owner of the Twins). The historic mansion that was here burned down a couple years ago:

The Basillica of St. Mary, built on the early 1900s:

The Walker Art Center:

The rest of these were taken in St. Paul on this gloomy Sunday, in the Crocus/Summit hill areas.

Blurry, but I liked this building:

Nice thread... Wish it was longer though. I like the mix of modern and old.

I love leafy streets in autumn. Gorgeous homes!

By the way, there are two pics you can fix by adding the backward slash [/IMG]

Oh, thanks...they are probably duplicates because I didn't notice they were broken in the preview, but I will fix anyway just in case

Nice, you guys have more color in the trees up there, more please! Generally you are good 2 weeks ahead in foliage and leaf loss, but doesn't seem that way this year. Were you really windy sunday up there like us? I imagine you are less windy than the surrounding plains/countryside/forest/rest of the midwest just like us and really notice when it whips up.

It hasn't actually been very windy for a couple weeks, which is kind of strange for fall(windiest time of year). I imagine outside the city most of the leaves are down...but in the cities, the colors are still going pretty strong, probably mostly because of the urban heat island. It looks like it will get cold and windy on Sunday...so that will probably mark the end of the color for this year. For now, still looks great on a lot of the neighborhood streets
