Kaohsiung, the pearl of southern Formosa

the "port capital"("港都" the nickname of this city) is the 2de largest city of taiwan.

Kaohsiung is a great city, but pearl?? Hmm, maybe a pearl that needs a good scrubing.

Taiwan's southern pearl to me would be Taitung.

Nice, but why is there no picture of the 85-story Tuntex Sky Tower, that is one of the tallest in the world?


It is 378m tall to the top of the antenna.

i kinda agree with u but i didn't know no more which title to give to this thread...

btw as you know it beyond a doubt: taitung means "east taiwan" in chinese, even if you're right geographically speaking and me too, i love so much east coast spectacular landscape.

The governemnt has done such a good job on the Love River, it looks absolutely amazing. I will definitely post pictures when I have time

What is the Kaohsiung Arena? Is that built for the World Games 2009?
