The building site is actually in Beverly Hills. It's right at the border but on the Beverly Hills side.

Did BHs give this project a height waiver to go tall, or are they using height transfers from other parcels? Where does the project stand....is it just another unfunded proposal?

The high-high end demand for condo living in LA is currently here and not Downtown.

It will be fun to see how the new Century Plaza twins sell. If like hotcakes there might be a chance you get that 900 footer.
Maybe Frank Gehry and his team could be talked into designing it. I know that not everybody likes Gehry (I usually do), but his projects are never boring and often great. Imagine a Gehry 900 footer in CC Better than a boring box. A 7O story 900 footer would probably be mixed use, with offices and retail on the lower levels and hotel/condo/apts on the top levels.

We're not getting anything close to that tall until the Santa Monica airport is closed down. FAA restrictions will not allow anything taller than ~600 ft until the flight path is changed.

600' is pretty good. We're stuck with a 500' limit in San Diego.

Apple has purchased an entire square block of property between Helms Bakery and Ivy Station in Culver City (the old Lakeshore school supply building) adjacent to their new office building on Washington.

^ That old Lakeshore building was just retrofitted last year, which would be an interesting development to raze and and build up so quickly. But some sources very close to Culver City Council have told me that Apple has had something in the works for that corner for over a year now. Maybe this is finally coming to fruition. Hopefully we see something cool here. The Ivy Station building across the street turned out pretty nice. Would love to see a starchitect come in and design something daring here. It won't be tall (expect it to top out at 5-6 stories), but that little area is becoming quite the center of activity. Which makes sense because it's a transit stop.

Those towers are a great addition! Now if we could get the tower on the NE corner of Constellation and Century Park West to start...

I'm looking at my drone shots, and forgot to head over there a couple weeks ago, but I can just make out that it really appears as if they have excavated the whole site out and shored it. Its a big freaking shored hole. So hope for a 2021 start on it?

I can't wait until we're past Covid-19 and can all start enjoying Los Angeles again like we used to... that time will be here before we know it. Happy New Year's everyone!

The Cumulus development in West Adams

1210 apartments, a public park and 100,000 square feet of retail with Whole Foods taking 50,000 square feet of that space.

Are the Century Plaza Towers tallest now? Some still say no.

This last picture, just excellent. These new twins look as if they always should have been there.

So your statement is purely hypothetical without fact. Got it.
