Has construction gone vertical yet? I haven't been past the site in a while.

2/1/2023 Went by the site today. It appears to me that construction has stopped since November.

Yikes, the one skyscraper U/C in San Francisco... hopefully it's temporary.

It's bad enough that none of the other projects in the pipeline seem to be moving forward either.

UPDATE - I spoke to a Lend Lease employee at the job site today. She told me that work has not stopped. It has slowed for the next phase of work. The large blue crane has been moved from the Market St. side of the site to the north side to make way for work on the other half of the site. A San Francisco utility company will be doing work on the Fell St. side of the site in the near future. Good news that this wonderful building is moving along!

Excavation and caisson construction could take up to 12 months. It can't go vertical until that work is complete.

2/27/2023 - The San Francisco Gate says that "...pausing due to permit issues related to its proximity to BART." "...recent heavy rains for the delay in progress."
"Site activity will become more intense shortly," Arden Hearing, executive general manager of West Coast development for Lendlease."
BART spokesperson confirmed to the Business Times that “the pause is the result of adjustments’ the transit agency requested due to the project's proximity to underground rail tunnels.”
The whole story can be read at: https://www.sfgate.com/

So is it like on hold officially now? I heard its having issues with permits surrounding the nearby BART line also we've been having this awful weather. If so that would be super unfortunate to see, SF's only skyscraper under construction put on hold. Still waiting on Oceanwide to continue and for Parcel F to begin...

3/18/2023 as mentioned in my last post, work has resumed. I have been by the site twice in the last week and there is a huge amount of work happening now on the south end of the foundation. 30 Van Ness if moving along nicely!

3/21/2023 - walked by the site today - several concrete trucks on the site for a pour which is good news. a friend who worked at construction sites tells me that concrete can be poured in the rain as the mix is adjusted for the conditions at the time of the pour.
Glad to see things are moving with lots of activity on the site!

Awesome! I am happy to see that this terrible weather we've been having hasn't stunted recent construction too much.

It's not terrible. This is good, we had a drought for far too long.

4/27/2023 - a nice view of the foundation work from the 29th floor of the Fox Plaza. A very big chunk of the view will be blocked by the Fox Plaza tenants. Excavation has now happening big time!

That is an awesome view! I cannot wait to see this thing speed up. I'm hoping to make a trip over there sooner rather than later to see it in person but keep up the updates! This is exciting!
