The tallest building in Lakeport is around 1,200ft at the roof, but i have plans for a new office complex, they will be angular glass towers, the redevelopment pictures will be up soon.

Here is a concept for Ultor Center, Ultor One is proposed to stand at 2038ft, and will be home to the Ultor Corporation. If built it will cost $1 billion and will become some of the worlds tallest, however much of lakeports citizens belive the building will ruin the skyline.Construction is planned to start in 2015 and should be complete in 2018 here are the architectural plans for it :

Some of Lakeport's citizens believe that Ultor Plaza will cause an eyesore on the cities skyline, and are demanding that the site be canceled or redesigned to smooth out the skyline, However the development will cause an explosion in construction of super tall skyscrapers:

several blocks of low rise buildings are visible in both pictures.

Tell me if I should redesign the buildings and make them smaller or put something else there, I want to put a 2,000ft+ skyscraper somewhere.

The skyline looks really diverse and interesting, but the Ultor Center is too massive in my opinion. I suggest you leave it out... or reduce its size. It's an interesting design but only out of scale.

The Ultor Center's size will be reduced to exactly half. I do agree, it is too massive. I will save a building like that for the future.

Does everyone group their buildings, or the blocks they are on?

I don't think I will have to split the city by neighborhoods either, because the 3Dwarehouse upload limit is no longer 10mb, it's 50mb, but that is if i decide to upload it.

I am using my own models for even the small details, like the radio towers, traffic, and road textures. Please check out my models: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/use...55495697621172

Update sometime soon, hopefully, if there isn't an update for a long period of time, i most likely i am working on one of my other 10GB of 3d models. I made a 3d model of Xbox ONE, scratch. (Most downloaded Xbox One on the 3DWH, even has internal detail, like my cars)

UPDATE SOON, and i have 600+ models, nearly 100 of which are cities.

I am rebuilding the terrain for Lakeport 3.0, the road network is going to be based heavily on Minneapolis, and not just flat land, i am going to also advance the scale, detail, and realism of the city, most buildings will have 3D windows, and street level detail.

The metro area has a population of 4.5 Million, Lakeport itself has 434,148 residents.

File size for Lakeport at the moment is 149MB, pictures in the next few days, I was up all night... oops.

I will build the road network first, then texture the roads, then i will make the buildings, texture those, then i will add detail such as traffic, people, and other stuff, including a Light Rail Transit system.

I feel bad for my PC now, its a 7 year old dinosaur.

Lakeport 3.0 is going to be built on a 25 x 25 mile grid, with 625 sections each exactly 1 square mile, Although originaly I was going to make it a 50 x 50 mile grid, which would have had 2,500 sections, although I might extend it to that anyway.

The street grid looks quite realistic and interesting. The skyline has a nice combination of heights, shapes and architectural styles. Looking forward to seeing this city grow.

I will post an update soon with Lakeport 3.5.

I am rebuilding the entire map yet again, and on 2km x 2km squares.

The city is going to have street level detail, traffic, and 3d windows. and it will have a population of 2.7 million. It is located at the northern edge of lake Superior, and is going to be about 50 miles north of Duluth, MN. Like Duluth, Lakeport will be a major port on lake Superior.

I have decided i am going to rebuild Lakeport from scratch, with a 3d terrain.
Most of the buildings will be placed in a separate file to be scrapped, or redesigned with more detail.

I will upload most of the buildings as i build them, so you can use them.

IMPRESSIVE NEW CITY!!!
Hello Codster! I haven't lurked too much in the last few years but I used to be a regular here for a while. I absolutely love the style you're developing.
I love the thin curved building, very good texture too. And I like the many construction sites with cranes around the city. Hope you keep it up!
