From the wet pavement and gray sky, I'm guessing you either just got back or are still there. I'm also assuming you've beaten me to the Kinder Building. Yes, I was kind of hoping to get there first.

I was actually there in the last week of March, weather was variable that week. My Bayou Bend day was only a little light sprinkle at one point. Yes I visited the Kinder building at Museum of Fine Arts Houston, someday I will get to editing those pictures but I have been slow!

The last week of March is definitely better than the first week of June in Houston.

I really like the Mies additions to the MFAH. I vaguely remember my mom taking me there in the early-to-mid 1960s, before the Brown Pavilion was built, when the white Cullinan Hall was the front of the building with a lawn between it and the street.

I like that idea! It would really announce that this building is still relevant in the midst of its newer, flashier museum-mates.

The high rise apartment building in the background replaced the old apartment building seen below. What a shame that was.

Winslow Manor Apt House - Gone But Not Forgotten

Out of frame to the right were attic apartments with small patio-like balconies cut into the roof that faced Downtown.
I always wanted to live there...but I guess not enough to get on the waiting list.

I wish the Pulitzer Arts Foundation had been open when I visited, they were closed to change exhibitions!
