64 Affordable Apartments for as Low as $565 Coming to Madison Avenue

Quote:
A lottery for 64 affordable units, including studios, 1-bedrooms and 2-bedrooms, has just opened, the city's Department of Housing Preservation and Development announced.

The apartments will be available in the 42-story residential building at 160 Madison Ave., which will have 319 apartments altogether, according to reports.

Amenities will include a doorman, on-site laundry, a fitness center, lounge and outdoor space, according to an announcement about the lottery.

Rent for a studio is $565-$716, $600-$769 for a 1-bedroom, and $700-$900 for a 2-bedroom.

To be eligible, applicants' annual household income must range between $20,743 and 43,150, depending on the size of the unit and the number of people living in it, according to the lottery description.

The residential tower hasn't opened yet, but it's slated to open by the end of this year, according to a rep. for the developer JD Carisle.
