Evergrey bet me to it. PNC Park is by far IMO the best ball park in the nation. I love to go to the games and just stare at the skyline. That makes up for the Pirates loosing most of the time.

good lord. that sucker is huge!!!! i've never seen a fully enclosed track that big. when i think of an oval track, i usually picture something like indy with big grandstands and an enormous infield. nascar tracks must be a mile around huh?

This track is a half mile. NASCAR has 2 tracks under a mile, a few mile tracks, a bunch of 1.5 mile tracks (most of the newer ones) and 3 tracks over 2 miles.

Here are my favorites (sorry no pics)

Football (American):
Pro - Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI (the Cathedral of the pig skin)
College - Camp Randall, Madison, WI

Basketball:
Pro- Bradley Center, Milwaukee, WI
College - Resch Center, Green Bay, WI (not the biggest, but architectually one of the best)

Baseball:
Pro - Wrigley Field, Chicago, IL (enough said) Miller Park, Milwaukee, WI for a modern complex

Auto Racing:
Closed Course - Indianapolis Speedway (so much history)
Open Course - Road America, Elkart Lake, WI (something about running four miles throught the Kettle Morane makes this place special)

That is AWESOME!!

I often wondered why here in NYC the Shea (or the New Mets Ballpark) outfield does not face the skyline. It definitely has a great view of it it is just in the wrong direction.

My tortured love affair with the Cincinnati Reds began at Riverfront Stadium in 1986, but the old bastard came down in 2002. Still, the tickets used to be cheap and I spent my summers there, absorbing all things baseball with my brother and father. It might not be a Wrigley or Fenway, but dammit, it was home.

I'm partial to it as well. It has one of the best designed seating bowls of the new arenas. Right now it should be renamed the "House of Tears" due to how both the Flyers and Sixers are horrible. When it opened in 96.....it really stuck out sitting next to the sardine can that is the Spectrum and the big concrete toilet that was the Vet. Now...the newer stadiums overshadow it but it's still a great arena in it's 10th year.
