I guess there's "hope" according the the previously linked DMN article stating:

"Also this year, Woods and his partners including Kaizen Development hope to start work on the first phase of their $1 billion Field Street District mixed-use project on the north side of downtown.

The group purchased the 6-acre property at Woodall Rodgers Freeway and Field Street in 2019. The site is zoned for up to 5 million square feet of construction.

“The first phase will be two large towers and a big food and beverage component,” Woods said. “The office tower will have a half million to 700,000 square feet, and the residential tower will be 300 units,” Woods said. “The first two buildings would be along the northern side of the property.”

Looks like it. Now I just get my info from DBJ or straight from Google. I just wished the Dallas Metropolitan forum would look similar to www.okctalk.com/forum.php.
Or https://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/

There was a discussion about that a couple pages back in this thread.

I can't open it on or with anything. I'm guessing it's a default browser setting that prevents it from opening. I just need to figure out what it is...

It will be back one way or another, restarted, next weekend. Thank you. And, apologies.

It has not been a good 2 months on my end.

Have you tried disabling all extensions and then clearing the browser cache? This will delete saved login sessions and some other things so I wouldn't do it your main browser, but if you were a regular Firefox user and had Chrome installed, it might be worth doing in Chrome. I think it's Ctrl-Shift-Del to bring up the clear browsing data window in Chrome and Edge. In Firefox not sure if there's a hotkey, instead you click the three line menu in the upper right, go to settings, and in the search bar type 'clear' and it should bring it up.

Hope indeed, and little else. Standard Steve Brown fluff reference. Another super-fluff piece in today's (Jan 21) paper. We shall see...

The metro area is indeed one of the fastest growing in the country; the city itself, not so much. The vast majority of growth and relocations in recent years/decades has been in the northern suburbs, well outside of the city of Dallas, let alone downtown or uptown Dallas.

Fort Worth's Panther Island project gets 'go-time' $403 million from Army Corps of Engineers

FORT WORTH, Texas — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Thursday announced $403 million in funding for the Panther Island project in Fort Worth, a needed boost for the controversial flood control effort aimed at rerouting a section of the Trinity River near downtown.

U.S. Rep. Kay Granger, R-Fort Worth, confirmed the Corps of Engineers funding for the project, also known as the Central City Flood Control Project, calling the news "a great day for Fort Worth."

Does anyone have a handy list of all of proposals floating around for downtown and uptown Dallas? Would like to compile them all so we can keep track of their progress.

We could start building one. I think we should include the core areas: Design District, Downtown, Deep Ellum, Knox District, Oak Lawn, Turtle Creek, Uptown
