More likely their Seattle based design team had more available bandwidth and found it more convenient to take on the project. Very likely that people in both offices have touched the project anyways, although I don't know and don't work there.

This should make everyone here happy. This is a prime spot for a 30-story building. Let's just hope it doesn't get chopped down like 12 West.

Wow so two 30 plus story towers possibly under construction at the same time?! In Portland Oregon?!

This is what I meant when I said in this economy why are we not getting this type of game changers being built. Looks like it's finally happening..

I'm surprised this thread hasn't received more attention. Granted there isn't much information on this development, but damn another 30-story tower in Portland on the same street as the other one? The view looking down 11th Ave from the Pearl will feel so urban.

After the Oregon Square delay, I 'm not holding my breath on both of these getting built. That said - - - The city skyline will dramatically change if they are, both from the river view of the skyline and the skyline with Mt. Hood view. It would be tremendous!

I'm sure the conversation will ramp up once there are some renderings.

Do you know if Monday's presentation included renderings?

When will you upload a PDF of the proposed design?

Maccoinnich is on the spot uploading when drawings and information becomes available. He cannot control the timeline for availability but I am sure that it will get here when it can.

The status of the design review has changed on portlandmaps from "incomplete" to "pending". There should be a proposal notice posted soon.
