hahaha It's because I study civil engineering and they want me to write about construction projects that are important in this moment.

Great to see this finishing up. Lots of exciting projects up and coming to the city in the next few years.

Love to see that people are writing about this project in their school papers!

You should study civil engineering or architecture then.

They chose black for the louvers because it matches the window mullion colors.

Kinda looks like Vista is giving the middle finger.

I already made this joke about One 57 in NYC, but if the penthouse or top mechancials ends up being lit up all bright at night:

Stopped-off at the Field Museum entrance for a few frames yesterday AM during a bike ride. Admittedly, this is a crude, manual focus-stack. I took a few frames with the foreground and background in focus, then layered them together. The idea was for everything to be in focus, but I didn't have the proper alignment. So instead, I left the wildflowers sharp, and then masked-in Vista from its sharp frame.

+1, excellent shot

It's weird how the black band around the second setback doesn't go all the way around the building though...

I had a feeling there was no way they weren't going to light it up.

As stated multiple times in this thread, that blue lighting is a temporary tribute to front-line workers or whatever. Not sure if there are any plans to keep it.
