Even the bright OSHA certified LED lights look fantastic shining through the glass at night. A few days ago they left the lights of the NW corner units at NEMA on, and boy did it look mesmerizing! It made me think of what vista will soon look like

Great update pics everyone!

I realized looking at Harry’s set that the core is off center in the top section and that this is going to be visible because of the added blow-thru.

^ My guess is they’ll be installing a metal staircase or ductwork risers where the floor openings are, along with cinder block enclosure, thus centering the appearance of the core.

Yes, you can see the opening in the slab and the outlines of stairs in the floors below it (same pic)

It looks like the core is only larger on the blow through floor. It seems to be smaller/centered in floors below and above.

Caught a glimpse of the glass today from the Kennedy. The gradient is clearly visible. Going to be sick.

Yeah. I was only able to see it up close this weekend from a cab on LSD but the glass looks awesome. Can't wait to see it completed. Going to definitely be sick.

Have you asked people what they think of the building's asymmetry? I am still struggling with it a little bit. Many buildings are asymmetric to some degree, but few buildings are as asymmetric as Vista so I am not used to it, even though I am a skyscraper fan.

I guess I haven't asked a lot of people how they feel about the building, but those that I have love it as do I.

Totally feel your struggle. Don't think of it as one building, think of it as how it was first described to me by skyscraper nerds: three interlocking towers (structurally, they are). Focus on the fact that it is perfectly building into a monstrous skyline, an effect that will be increased if we get the tribune tower later on.

What a photo. That picture on top with the photo of the lake and backdrop of the skyline is one of the best I have seen. I tell you AON and Vista form a two punch skyscraper scene unlike any other, even with the distance between them, especially when driving north on LSD. Chicago has been blessed with natural vistas that makes its skyline impressive from any view. The only other cities I know that gives as great views are San Francisco and Pittsburgh in their own way.
