Looks similar to Zhengda Cube Plaza, its 88m tall with 22 floors. Gross floor area is 41 000m², its a Office building and its the Coast Palisade Consulting Group which is the architect behind the building.
Thanks a lot! I used it to add the building into Emporis, that page need better cover on Shanghai and China!
By the way, do you have and links or do you know whos the architect behind Albany Oasis Garden?
No sorry, but here is the official website: http://www.oasis-albany.com/
It's only in Chinese. You'll need someone who can understand Chinese to help you
According to a forumer at ss.cn the final design for Xujiahui Center isn't approved yet. Can this actually be true, since they seem to have breaken ground already?
Maybe we'll see another tower than the Freedom Tower rip-off with a huge spire - the drawing of this tower at ss.cn's diagram centre is actually a building with 400m roof height.
Shanghai_Fan,
The picture (?) isn't showing. EDIT: Now they are.
Anyway; here are the two other proposals (both 400m roof height) for the Xujiahui Center, taken from the diagrams at ss.cn:
It's about all the developments along and around Nanjing Xilu. From about 5 minutes into the film, it's all about renderings and animations - it's really well made actually. The tallest towers in the area are of course Plaza 66 and Wheelock, but it looks like there are at least a couple of other tall ones that are going up here.
Shanghai_Fan,
Which tower (Oasis something - not the Oasis Skyway Garden Hotel though, which is listed as a seperate building) is this, by the way? Listed as U/C on ss.cn, and finished by 2008.
60 storeys, 260 meters.
^ Thats the Albany Oasis Garden Office Tower in Hongkou, Puxi. Will haev offices, a hotel and a shopping center at the botton. The shopping center will be connected to a larger mall right beside the main tower.

I had no idea it will be this far north - pretty close to the train station it seems. This is nowhere near the North Bund projects.
I took some pictures today at the Xujiahui Center construction site.
These cranes are where the smaller towers will be located.
The plot where the main tower (400m) will be located is still occupied by these small buildings that hasn't been torn down yet. They are doing it as we speak though.
There's not a single rendering at the site yet - all I could find was this billboard. Can't understand much of it.
^The sign indicates construction for the #9 subway line...but nothing else. I don't know if that means they're building only the new station or that and the super-tall project above it. I'm guessing both, since they already have plans to build the towers on this site. Considering how close this project is to the line 1 station, I'm guessing this will become a station where the 9 and 1 intersect. Anyway, that site is bleedin' enormous.

Don't know if this has been posted before.
This project is apparently called Shanghai Multimedia Valley, and is located close to the main train station.

He was giving me lip the other day, so I had to put him back in his place. He's currently tied up in my closet and will remain so until he repents.
