How does your city number high-rise floors? - Page 2

I've been noticing that most local developers don't go along with the 13th floor thing, and it doesn't matter if it's office, hotel or residential. The few ones I've seen doing this are the national developers that are typically building chain hotels, and usually the lesser brands of them.

Yes well, if you think about it, if your elevator free falls from that height, it won't matter if you call it the 12th or 14th, you're a goner.

our ny apt building has a 'G' or ground floor and the second floor is 1 and up from that.

i don't think any developer skips the 13th floor too much these days, if at all. that was a bit of a trend in a older era of buildings, but not universal even back then.

i dk, but its something fun to keep an eye out for.
