This is a tragic loss, but at least I had been gearing up for it for awhile. This was definatly one of my favorite proposals. This is just pure speculstion, but maybe there is a chance this design could be recycled for another location. Destefano has worked with Magellan in LSE on the Regatta and Chandler, so maybe they could bring this design or something like it to LSE. I was thinking the spot just east of the Swisshotel and west of the Arquetchinica (sp?) proposal would be a very good location for this.

It's too bad that a tower like this had to get the ax while similarly-priced and located yet uglier (to say the least) projects are being constructed instead (Elysian, Ten East Delaware, et al). This might have been more expensive enough to cater to a different market, though, so all the more buyers for the Spire and (hopefully) Waldorf I guess.

Has anything else been planned for this site or is it still possible we could get another project like this in the future on this site?
