Boston is Beautiful -- April 2021

Another month, another series of wanderings around this prettiest of American cities.

First we start at Prospect Hill in Somerville

And now into the city proper

Out to Arlington for some skyline views with my pops, step mom and girlfriend

Now we walk down the Rose Kennedy Greenway aka the park that was built on top of the Big Dig tunnel project. By this point the plant life has matured considerably

Cherry blossoms!

That's it for this month

I think that Boston is the most beautiful major, American city by far. Pockets of DC, NY, SF, Philly, Chi., etc. are gorgeous, but overall, the Hub of the Universe, as the Federalists liked to call it, is the most stunning.

Boston certainly is a beauty! One of my favorite cities to visit in the US for its blend of history, architecture, and natural beauty. Nice to see some new skyscrapers going up as well!

Such a beautiful place to explore. I loved my two trips there.

I have to agree. Think of it on a per capita basis... pound for pound Boston manages to stay attractive across a much broader area than nearly any other American city. I just spent 6 years living in NYC and it's stunning how much of it is rather hideous, whereas your average workaday block in Allston or Dorchester still has a certain red brick/New England charm about it.

wow, great pictures; the greenway looks so much better now than last time I saw it. Need to get back to Boston soon. Also curious about what the seaport looks like now.

I did that full walk of the Greenway specifically because it had been years since I really walked it and I wanted to take in how much more grown in it looks now. Also this month I'm making it a point to spend some meaningful time down in the seaport, especially the parks right along the harbor because I've heard they've become really nice places to hang out.

Boston is very beautiful with parks and historical buildings and they have built many new skyscrapers since I was there in 1998.

I get what you are saying here. And Boston is pretty clean too (this is something I am cognizant of whenever I visit places because of living in the Philly area, America's trash dump apparently ha ha).

Nice
