I don’t mind a temporary park but I also have concerns for various reasons...

I'm mixed. It was a gorgeous design, and I hope they reuse it somewhere else.
But a park here would be quite nice, if done well. But we've already gone down this road of homeless concerns...

I'm mixed on this whole project. I couldn't wait for it to start but now that its up, I miss the character of the old storefronts.

I know this is a new and shiney building, but the character of that block is kinda gone now. I wish we could get more "renovation" going on rather than just demolish an build huge new fancy shit.

I waver....

Yeah, I thought I would miss the big streamline parking garage a or whatever it was but looking back it was kind of awkward and bulky looking.

The architectural style is a bit boxy. This one could've been better.

Maybe it's an illusion or I'm just dumb, but this doesn't feel like it'll hit 372.

Comparing to East Market Tower II behind it which is 282ft, or 1213 Walnut in front of it at 294, this doesn't feel much taller.

Just wait until all of the glass is on and at the top, those curves will stand out

CDR and permits reflect 372'.

Also notice that the "sharp" points have a frosted glaze, that's a nice touch

I'm a fan of undulating glass and structures like New York by Gehry. It's so pleasing to the eyes.

I think everyone is being too impatient with this one. Once it tops out and the facade is finished, I think the wavy glass pattern will make this look a lot better than it does right now.

Such a diverse and interesting block, thanks to the developer. My only disappointment is the deferral/cancellation of the tower where the park will go.

The wavy glass looks good in person. Way better than in the photos.

“When we did our deal with Jefferson, the plan was, we built a below-grade garage that has all of the infrastructure for two buildings,” he says. “The Specialty Care Pavilion is one. And there’s infrastructure to have either residential or an office building on the remaining parcel, but the current plans are just to use it as a public plaza for the moment.”

The new Jefferson outpatient care facility is the second office building to go up or be rehabilitated at East Market. It’s also the third purely commercial building, counting the Canopy by Hilton hotel in the 1891 Stephen Girard Building.

^ But, to quote Oliver Twist, "may I please have more?" There's a nice corner lot left.
