I'm graduating soon and applying to jobs at JPMC. It would be a dream to work in this building when it's done! It's so beautiful

If you plan on working in the NYC area, then this is where you will work. They're consolidating everyone here after it's done.

Does anyone have any idea when will it get the first glass panels? I’m guessing 2022…

Is Jamie Dimon waiting until the topping out to reveal any official renderings?

It makes no sense. And we’re locked out of DOB documents for this tower, yet on site it says to visit the DOB for more info.

I'm not getting my hopes up but I would absolutely love to work in this building. Unfortunately I'm not the best computer scientist and JPMC comp sci jobs are super super competitive.

The building still has to get built. Right now all JPMC employee's are at scattered sites around the area.

I'd like to see that part of Vanderbilt pedestrianized.

Why the lockout? Is that a recent change?

No, it’s been that way for a while now. It’s why we haven’t seen any new documents or zoning diagrams for the site. They could be building anything, and we would have no idea. Not a single rendering released.

Is that even legal? Aren't we required to get those?

They are required to have a rendering of the building on site. The DOB is a large bureaucracy, and JPMC may have requested that particular action, but having no access to documents for a particular site is highly unusual. It never happens.

Apparently, they demolished 270 Park Avenue during Covid. Who knew?

I don't think it will be jet black, but it will be powerful for sure.

I think this picture best sums up the state of the rebirth of midtown east...

Being not an officially rendering, is there some hope that the 270 park tower would appear exactly like in the above representation/drawing?

Why would you hope for that?! But clearly from what's already been erected it will be nothing like that. Other than tall and massive.

In this drawing the facade is elegantly articulated, but of course the base will be different, probably will be kinda deco.
In any case I find the finger-shaped roof rendering quite ugly, I hope for a well thought out roof /spire.
It will draw the skyline not for a minute..
