I've spent a lot of time in Cincinnati over the last twenty years or so. When I used to visit, I was always impressed with the downtown core, but disappointed by the complete wasted opportunities that were Over-the-Rhine and the riverfront. I also really loved the topography with Mt Adams, Eden Park, and the Ohio River. Over time, Cincinnati has improved upon it's already solid foundation by fixing up Over-the-Rhine and the riverfront, and has become quite an impressive city. I do find the lack of Cincinnati style chili in your photos somewhat suspect... but I enjoyed them nonetheless. Thanks for sharing!

^Physically the city is doing much better than it was in the 90s and 2000s but a few of the truly unique things have disappeared because owners died or sold.

I spent a year at Miami University and looking back, I regret not spending more time in Cincinnati. It is definitely a city I would move to, if I secured a job in my field. Tons of personality, good beer and food, interesting topography and history. Thanks for sharing!

The Queen City's looking good! Even in the past four years since I moved away there's been so much new development. I'm hoping Cincinnati's national profile keeps rising in the coming years, it's a special city.

Yeah, a fair amount certainly as compared to the 1980s-2000s, when stuff in the city was still being torn down regularly while the suburbs boomed, but it is still only on the east side of the city. The west side is still relatively poor, although the prevailing price of a move-in ready home has doubled in the past 3-4 years from about $75,000 to about $150,000. That means that we might see new construction in areas where something new hasn't been built in literally 100 years.

It's nowhere on the scale of Nashville so far as scrape/new construction and cramming new $550,000 houses onto oddly-shaped lots next to cell phone towers. Cincinnati simply has a lot more old houses to flip than Nashville, Austin, etc. since it was a Top 10 city through the 1950s.

Also: Is that last shot somewhere along Riverside Drive (could've sworn that used to be called Eastern Avenue?) or Kellogg Avenue (US 52)?

Very picturesque, Cincinnati along with Pittsburgh are two outstanding inland cities that have many buildings that architectural gems.
