The Churchill +

This thread is for the Churchill and other items linked to it. I think this will be a great addition to DT. Another unique aspect of downtown Phoenix.

Tempe’s Pedal Haus Brewery is opening a second location in downtown Phoenix at a new shipping container development in downtown Phoenix.

Pedal Haus already has a location on Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe.

Cocktail bar Pobrecito, Freak Brothers Pizza and Cosas, an artisans boutique are also locating at development.

Construction has started at the site with completion set for next spring.

And just so everyone is aware of the current roster for this project:

Cosas- Mexican boutique
Poberacito- Cocktail bar
Freak Brothers Pizza
48th State- While a brewery of the same name is opening at 345 W Van Buren early next year, this will be retail aspect.
PedalHouse- Brewery

Good mix so far!

Edit: looks like Obadno beat me to the punch 1 min quicker!

State Forty Eight (clothing brand) and State 48 Brewery are not the same company but I get what you're trying to say.

There are 19 containers. I wonder if we can expect 19 shops or if some will occupy more than 1 container.

Not much that we don't already know- 2 bars, 4 shops, 4 restaurants. But it more or less confirmed what I suspected that it would be a summer opening, although I was hopeful when they mentioned Spring.

Only new thing here is the mention of a wine bar, which brings the Churchill to a grand total of 3 bars, 4 restaurants, and 3 shops.

Love the list, especially the Central Mexican food which sounds delicious and the non-food retail. I'll definitely make a point to patronize.

Bummer but it appears that Pedal Haus Brewery will no longer be part of this project. I was really looking forward to them being in downtown. They hope to replace with a similar beer concept...

I was sifting through FB and Instagram, couldn't find anything to indicate they weren't opening as planned. I saw a post about a job fair happening at the Pedal House location on Mill but in the comment section was cancelled due to an "unforeseen venue change."

I'd imagine many disappointed patrons would be more aware of this if this were the case. Or maybe I didn't dig deep enough, in any case, I hope Pedal Haus stays

LOL sorry I wasn't more clear. Straight from The Churchill owners, Pedal Haus is no longer part of their concept
