^^^ I completely forgot about that project. Looks like it will be a nice increase in density for that corner. Hopefully the cladding looks better than in the rendering!

If I remember right, the rendering on the sign outside the building looks a little different from that rendering you just shared. Not the building's design itself, but I could've sworn the cladding was a little darker.

Cool. I have no problem with the design itself, but there are already way too many buildings in University City that are that particular shade of earwax yellow.

327 N. 17th Street... right in back of the Mormon Tower development is vacant and more or less boarded up (paper over windows)... anyone heard any possibilities for this? By the time the Tower and townhouses are completed... there will be a lot more people in the area... can't imagine this stays vacant much longer, no?

Yep, the current rendering available on-line makes it appear to be darker:

http://www.phaved.com/3901-walnut-street/

and, significantly, is included on the Penn web site:

http://www.facilities.upenn.edu/serv...te/development

So apparently no earwax here.

But that guy is STILL crossing the intersection against the light!

Slow and steady with the demolition. From this view looks like nothing is going on....

I went past some of these sites today. They were finishing the 3rd floor at 15th and market. Boarding up 1100 market and putting together the sidewalk scaffolding system. The plywood protection over the Uniqlo store was down- which makes sense considering its about to open.

Has anyone heard anything about the Boyd project? After the dispute was settled I thought construction was imminent. I see NOTHING happening there. The 1900 block of chestnut looks terrible on the south side.

This would solve all of 1900 Chestnut's - south side - blues in a hurry ... when and if...

What's that tower proposal called, TallCoolOne? As far as the Boyd, I have been wondering about that too. Depending on the way I drive home, I pass it on my way home from work. So, often. Months ago, iPic had said that construction had already BEGUN, but if so, it must all be internal. I can't see evidence of anything at all being done to the outside.

Anyone heard anything recent on the granting/location of the next casino license? I haven't heard any recent news. When are they supposed to decide?
