Its so difficult to identify these old movie locations because most of them are long gone...plus they often had different names and appearances over time.
Maybe someone can tell us what hill that is in the background.

I believe that Corriganville was mostly one flat area of the western town.

PS: The photo looks somewhat like the Paramount Movie Ranch, based upon the shape of that hill.

Corriganville was basically flat, in a valley on the west face of the Santa Susanna Mtns, thus the hills in background tend to be mostly sandstone rocks.
Paramount Ranch, several miles south and west in the Santa Monica Mtns is more likely - there are some level spots for horse chases but the lumpy hills are smaller, brushier and thus more like , say, Korea

That is actually the old Warner Brothers area that was on the south side of the LA river across from the studio itself. It was mostly roads for stagecoaches etc and when I was a kid I remember them filming stagecoaches and wagons going along there. There were no standing sets when I remembered it, but the hill was the same. The outcroppings on the top of the hill match. The best view now which would match the shot would be just inside the Universal Studios Barham gate, along the river. Or possibly from the Smoke House restaurant parking lot on the opposite side of the river. That area, which is now home to the Oakview Apartments, was the mouth of Dark Canyon which is now Barham Blvd.

The Tudor style house was built on a lot measuring 10 feet by 50 feet in 1932 by N. Rummond, who received the land as a repayment for a $100 loan.
He built the 860-square-foot house after someone bet him he could not built a habitable house on such a small lot.

Newton P. Rummond (born in Illinois in 1901) and his wife Geraldine are listed as residing at that address in a Long Beach City directory in 1933.
