The impact this will have from Grant Park is huge. It fills a void and continues the wall of buildings around the corner to the Michigan Ave wall.

You have to go pretty far to find a hill taller than the Sears Tower. I think possibly Northern Minnesota (the highest points of Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan are all lower)

Mt Avron in the UP of Michigan is the closest I believe. 1,979 feet.

Good call, however Chicago sits at roughly 600 feet above sea level so by that measurement Sears is no less than 2,050 feet tall

If antennae/spires count Trump Tower is almost 2,000 feet as well! Great to finally put behind us this whole New York vs Chicago thing. Because Denver clearly has the tallest skyscrapers
