Option 2 by far. It the glass is actually black(ish) like the Seagram Building or OMA's 121 East 22nd, then it should look good.

They are basically the same thing except for the crowns. I like 1 better in that regard.

They're from Vancouver, Canada, so to them this is an attractive design. They need to dump their Canadian architectural firm and hire someone normal. This gang (Onni, Bosa, etc) borderline ruined San Diego's skyline, and it's clear that the LA planning commissioners aren't keen to see LA similarly disfigured.

^ AC Martin is the architect for Times-Mirror Square, and are LA-based (Wilshire Grand and AVEN are their latest towers downtown). This is a bit of a departure from their usual architectural firm, Chris Dikeakos Architects, who is Vancouver-based, and has designed all Onni Group high rise projects to date, which to your point have been pretty meh (though 825 Hill isn't terrible).

I believe this was updated and approved according to the LA compilation thread.

That is correct. Additional renderings found here: https://urbanize.city/la/post/onnis-...ncil-committee

Thanks, I wonder if this is still on for a 2021 commencement as the article mentioned.

Didn't realize Tribune was so close to this either, that's awesome. Imagine those three and Angel's landing rising at the same time

If we could resurrect the Zen Tower from the dead, it would nearly give us a contiguous skyline from Bunker Hill to City Hall...
