I see AJN wall panel is looking for some employees for Belledune. Perhaps a sign their project is moving forward.

Seems like a new call centre wants to set up shop in Edmundston. Millenium 1 Solutions has job postings, would be located in the Madawaska mall where other defunct call centers have gone.

Not holding my breath but would be nice to see it work out.

Talks are in the air for a new CCNB in Bathurst, combining both campuses in one.

There were only 3 bidders that qualified, and two of them were from Maine and it says the only Canadian company didn't submit a bid. I imagine with the cross border work, there's going to be coordination with Canadian companies just for logistical reasons.

Also will be a lot of subcontract work, which Reed & Reed aren't afraid to use Canadian companies for. An example would be this bridge in Bath, Maine.. it was Reed & Reed working with Strescon.

Yes, it was Maine’s turn to head the project as they alternate between projects. With the pandemic and work permit wise I have no doubt that local companies will me hired to do some work to keep the project going steady.

It will be an impressive bridge at 420 meters and be very welcomed by the transport companies that have to do a big detour to cross goods between Madawaska and Edmundston.

Arianne-phosphate project for Belledune is showing up again on CCD most viewed projects for the last few days. A quick search on SNB seems to show that a part of the property where the plant is planned to be has been subdivided.

Things have been quiet for a while around this project but it looks like things are moving.

Few things afoot in the Chaleur region. Some orange pickets appeared on the lot across Honda in Bathurst, rumours are that a parcel of land has been sold for the construction of Bayside Nissan. Bayside has recently acquired the Nissan banner and will be on the move as Hatheway will keep their body shop at the current location.

And some other orange sticks appeared in Beresford on the parcel of land at the corner of principale and Acadie. Rumoured strip mall, new Subway and Fire Station.

Any rumors about Maritime Iron? Seems really quiet. You would think with a project that size on the table that people would be fighting to get it on track. It would be huge for the North.

A large piece of land was recently sold in Edmundston across jack and jill pool, old Riviera Bowling. Land is classified as commercial. Sold earlier this month. Going to be interesting to see what will take shape there.

Interesting project for the Mont Farlagne in Edmundston. Republik Nature will turn the mountain in a full 4 season centre. Several new trail for different outdoor activities are to be built. New installations to offer rental, repair of equipment for the site. Camping and glamping installations..... plan is to turn the site in the outdoor destination of Atlantic Canada.

Something is up at the old ccnb in Edmundston, some construction permits have been issued, apparently this building will be gutted in part to accommodate a retail store. No word on what the store would be or what else is planned for the rest of the property.

Nice to see this building getting a new vocation!
