Spark is 300gm, Tello 80gm. Any drones 250gm or higher must be registered & operator must be licensed to fly in Canada. Transport Canada has a list of make/model of drones. You can't wiggle your way around it.

NAV CAN does not qualify as airport/helipad/controlled airspace (circles on map).

Ahhh! Okay awesome! That is great to know! I have been looking at getting a drone and that’s something that I was concerned about. Thank you for the information!😃

Same here...the licensing (which I understand) had deterred me from seriously exploring getting one, but the Tello might be an option if no licensing/courses are required.

Cranes over Moncton - I love it!

Still waiting for tower crane #5 for Emma Place, unless they are planning on recycling the crane from the waste treatment plant when they are done over there.......

Bird's eye view update. I just noticed something from this image which caught my bird's eye view and gave me a thought. You see that garage in the top left corner with all that wooded land, could a big time developer buy out Maritime Clutch & Brake, and develop this corner in another 6-8 story retail/condo/apartment building? How cool of an intersection would this be if that was to happen!

Interesting idea. Longer term (15+ years), I could see that area developed to the point that the Sobeys Plaza there would probably be worth replacing with a tower with a commercial base. Either building a tower on top of the existing grocery store, or building a new one close to the road so the parking is in behind.

Agree 100%. With all the new development in the area, it's become an even more prime piece of land. Since both Tannery Place buildings are fully pre leased, a nice apartment building would no doubt be successful there. As it stands now, the land is sorely under developed with just that old automotive building on it.
Imagine an 8 story building there! Now that Spataro Holdings is wrapping up the 8 story FiveFive project................

The Vaughan Harvey/Main Street intersection is the most important intersection in the downtown. Once the Junction Urban Village is built out, the NW corner where the Maritime Brake building is located will become one humdinger a prime piece of land for future development and construction.

Why stop at eight storeys. Go for 10-12 storeys!!

The residential tower with a grocery store as the anchor for ground floor commercial. This is a model that Crombie is currently using in larger centers. Why not here in the future!

I was stopped at the red light on Vaughn Harvey looking at the Tannery Place construction site. I couldn't help but think that this is going to be a pretty impressive building when it's completed. It already is starting to look huge and they're only at the 2nd floor.

They've now started work on the third level.

I usually drive by this site every Saturday morning and check to see if they're working. This morning was the first time I saw them working on a Saturday. The crane was lifting some large pieces.

It's worth noting, and maybe forgotten by the more casual observers. that on more than one occasion, the developers have mentioned they are reserving the southwest corner of VH Blvd and Main St for a "signature building."

Indeed - with four buildings of at least six storeys planned, this development will redefine the western gateway into the downtown core.

Driving by the Junction yesterday, I noticed a line-up of cement trucks waiting to get into the site. They're working hard on the 4th floor.

Tannery Place South from Ivan Rand Drive. Photo from today. Four floors down, two to go. Judging by how quickly they've been working, I'd estimate the superstructure will be "topped out" within a month.

You can see the two cranes at the Hilton Garden Inn in the background if you squint really hard.
