What is dead may never die. Every time I drive on the 202 I see that sad parcel and wonder if it will ever be developed. It's a tough property with the power lines.

A couple of observations...

The Gilbane development now has a short tower crane. The length of the crane stretches across Apache lol. They are moving fast on piecing together the garage.

It looks like they are going vertical on the first office building at the corner of University and Rural! They were pouring columns this morning.

The Interdisciplinary 7? Building on the other corner seems like the work still hasn't started despite the fencing and clearing of the corner.

Awesome! I would like to add that Park Place is starting to go verticle, also.

It's time for me to break my camera out again

Oh...the other day as I was driving West on University in the direction of Rural, I could spot 5 tower cranes directly in front of me. Pretty cool to see.

Thought I would share this pic from my hike around Papago Park last weekend. Pretty good view of all the cranes and how Mirabella and company will fill in Tempe's skyline nicely.

That development is moving incredibly slow. On the bright side, I see where I used to work during my co!!ege years. It's the big grassy area where people tend to knock little white balls around. Good times! Sad it's going away eventually.

It's going away in like 2-3 weeks. I played last Saturday for the last time there. The course was actually in pretty good condition, I thought maybe they would've let it go with the last few weeks remaining.

Not big news, but in Executive Session on the 25th, Tempe City Council is going to discuss "Development of 250 West Rio Salado Parkway." That's the brick building on the NEC of Rio Salado/Ash where there was a random obstruction evaluation a while back for 220', and referred to as "Penny Saver" (in apparent reference to the Arizona Penny Saver classified weekly that used to be headquartered there). Would love to have details about what's going on there, 220 ft. would look pretty good.

AZRE today has news about the "groundbreaking" ceremony for the Hyatt at Novus even though they are already pouring columns nothing new there.

However, the Novus website has a retail leasing PDF that shows the next phase (site plan) of the district directly north of the phase that is currently being built. I think it's really aggressive to get that much retail into that corridor. They have room for "majors" i.e. larger stores/ gyms. We'll see how much of it they'll be able to lease up.

Yes, I saw the plans. They are perfect for that spot. The density is there.
