Monroe DR is a mess, it desperately needs attention between 10th and Piedmont, no striping can be seen, it is a demolition derby waiting to happen.

10th from the connector to Northside is even worse! Potholes that are 1’ deep and as 2-3’ wide plus all the patches.

Fix street issues

Wonder if someone can report these items to ATL311?
I have also noticed other streets in the city where the white paint is entirely faded\missing from traffic lanes.

I've always found it embarrassing for the city that one of the most prestigious engineering schools in the country fronts a road as poorly maintained as 10th Street.

I'd say it fronts North Ave But to be fair, our own parking decks have a pretty poor rep, so maybe its fitting Maybe this was just a rumor or campus joke, but I thought the State Street deck had to be reinforced b/c the design only accounted for the static load of the structure, but not the dynamic load of the cars.

What the hell are they doing with Peachtree downtown? A two lane road? Insane.

Peachtree is one lane 90% of the time anyway because trucks and delivery cars are always sitting in the curb lane. I drive Peachtree and 1 lane is fine honestly if the other becomes for pedestrian and cafe use. I’d be happy if they close it totally and make it a pedestrian only avenue. Cars can use the one way streets east and west of Peachtree in my opinion.

Amazing! That mid-block crosswalk is great too. Now let's get some temporary outdoor dining in that space.

10th street, a common complaint on here, is finally being repaved between Northside and the connector! The western portion is already completed.

All the auto repair shops in the area can now sell their front-end alignment machines.

If that's the finished product I'd be disappointed. I guess I should give it some time before I judge, but it's not the smoothest.

^It's phase one of a temporary pilot to study impacts on traffic flow. Phase two will permit uses such as restaurant seating. The long term plan would involve new hardscapes and permanent changes.

EDIT - oh, are you talking about 10th street? I'm not sure the exact timeline but it seemed like some parts were essentially complete but needed to be striped still. The part I drove through was very smooth, basically a brand new rode. It was a full repaving.

Pet peeve of mine. People think they have the right to park on street in front of their homes or a businesses. Below is an example pic from 16the Street. It is a 4 lane street BUT 2 lanes are used for parking. [rant]Why do people think they are entitled to government subsidized parking spaces?[/rant]. Many of these people will complain when a poor neighborhood receives some kind of subsidized program but they feel entitled to an on street parking space in front of their home and treat it as their property.
