There was a photo posted here about a decade ago (or more) from Pembina Hall at the U of M. Downtown looked huge from that angle. I think it was trueviking that posted it, not sure. Would be interesting to see that angle now today.

This one...missing a lot of new buildings - Hydro, TNS, 300 Main, 300 Assiniboine, 390 Assiniboine

I believe from the Holiday Inn South (Pembina at McGillivray)

I remember that photo...hard to believe it was taken that long ago. On one hand it feels like the Winnipeg skyline is static but it has definitely changed since then.

That's a gorgeous vantage point, and one that's rarely seen.. I'd love to see what the skyline looks like from that angle now.

It's funny because from the previous 15 year period of 1991-2006 there would have been few if any noticeable changes in the skyline. I think the Remand Centre peeking out by the Legislature may have literally been the only difference. But from 2006 to now there certainly have been some big changes.

I remember first time I saw the stack in person, which until that very moment I never even knew existed, and was unexpectedly blown away to see it towering over the town like that. Nobody else in the car seemed to understand why I was so mesmerized, they all grew up there.

No, the one I have has a building from U of M in the middle.

I loved it so much, I made a CD cover for it.

Now I am dating myself by saying "CD". When I find it I will post it.

Again, I will call out trueviking, because I am pretty sure he posted it.

I know you bastards are going to make me find my CD now..

Here we go. I made this 'CD' in 2004, and I 'photo graphed' it...so I guess I am older than half the people here.

I know I stole it from someone here.. it was probably you then.

When I said I photographed it, I meant that I took a picture of my cd.. in case anyone cares.

Most likely not.

On topic - 300 Main would blot out the P&M towers pretty good from this angle.
